A champion of lean methodologies, I have spent twelve years implementing customer focused, data driven improvements, centred on quality, cost and delivery outcomes. My strong interpersonal skills coupled with a deep understanding of cross sector issues have enabled me to help organisations make significant bottom line improvements, safeguarding jobs and helping customers compete in an ever tightening global marketplace.
In 2009 I decided to start Acclaim Training. My aim was to provide customer focused training and development, with the learner firmly at the centre of everything we did. By utilising training solutions that meshed seamlessly with our customers strategic plans, we were able to offer intelligent solutions for customers that needed more than just an off-the-shelf qualification. This approach gave employers the added value and return on investment that traditional training had failed to do.
From 2009 I have taken Acclaim training from delivering stress management to four people in the back room of our local trades hall, to delivering lean and leadership to the management of a global automotive manufacturer across five sites in the UK. I have also delivered training on a licensed nuclear site for a global engineering contractor as well as several leading multi-national chemical manufacturers.
My background of over thirty three years in industry has given me the skills, experience and knowledge to help find workable solutions to customers issues. Implementing intelligent problem solving methodologies, low cost solutions and workable measurement techniques, I am able to help make real bottom line improvements for companies in many differing sectors.
Finally, throughout my career I have been involved with Health and safety at every level of the organisations I have worked for and with. My training and experience has allowed me to pass on the knowledge to others.

After lecturing Psychology to trainee Police officers at Newton Rigg campus, I decided to concentrate on developing training courses that address some of the key issues in our modern workplaces. Stress management, conflict resolution, the background for our Behavioural Safety courses, and the psychology that underpins Acclaim Training Leadership courses.
After specialising in Organisational Psychology, I have also developed courses in Change management and can offer bespoke development to help meet your organisational targets.
